What do you do at Mikkeller?
I’m the bottleshop boss. Making sure all the Mikkeller freaks can get their fix at the Mikkeller & Friends bottleshop. I plan events, do tastings, write newsletters, plan & sell merchandise and then I restock the shop over and over again. To simplify: I’m your local beer pusher, Copenhagen N. Come and get some.
Which Mikkeller Beer is your favourite and why?
I’m a lover of balance and dryness in beer. Mikkeller ‘Koppi Coffee IPA’ and Mikkeller ‘It’s Alight’ is two of my favorite beers at the moment. Both have a lot of complexity, a dry body and work as a great thirstquencer on top of that. But there is always a new beer to fall in love with.
How did you join the firm?
I came from outside the beer world. I’ve worked at different restaurants both gourmet and bistro type places. Working mostly with wine. I read in an article that Mikkel was to open a bar with the intention of making it a world class bar, and I instantly got inspired to write an application. I started out as a bartender.
When not at work?
I celebrate life and all the good things in life. Food, beer, wine, music and love. I have a newfound love for music on vinyl. I drink Hoppy IPAs and complex Barolo wines. I spend increasing amounts of money on all the great new restaurants and even some of the classic ones. And of course my most precious girlfriend Carolina is in the center of all this. She exemplifies the good in life.
