Mikkeller Brewing San Diego just got their hands on a half a ton of Cabernet Franc grapes from Temecula. The plan is to take these Southern California grapes and add them to our ever expanding barrel program.
Nothing is concrete at the moment, but we hope to take these grapes and use them with our Brett Saison. We will re-ferement and age the beer on the grapes and eventually bottle condition the brew.
This beer is a work in progress. The brewers will continue to play with it and taste it to see where it might go and where we could possibly supplement other barrel fermenting treats. Keep a look out for versions of this beer around the new year, with the possibility of a small preview going on draft in the Tasting Room when we feel the beer has matured enough.
